Aube switches and CFL compatibility
Because they use 75% less electricity than conventional light bulbs, compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) are being used in more and more homes.
However, problems can arise when homeowners use programmable light switches to control CFLs. The trouble is many older programmable switches—and even some new models—are not compatible with this type of lighting.
Aube offers two programmable switches that are fully compatible with CFLs: the TI033 and TI035.
[Note: Aube’s TI032-3W and TI034-3W programmable switches will also work with CFLs if the combined wattage of all bulbs exceeds 40 W.]
Switches and energy savings
Aube switches save energy by automatically turning off lights (or other appliances) when their use isn’t required. For example, by programming your switch to turn lights off at bedtime, you’ll save energy by ensuring they’re never accidentally left on overnight.
